I read in the latest issue of MaximumPC mag that a backup feature that can create a drive image, very much like Ghost, will be build into Vista as standard. Does anyone know if that's true?

Ahh... yeh kinda. It's gonna be a "technology" feature as such, which enables you to create ghosted/staged images of Vista when it's installed, so that you can roll it out to other computers on a network. Imagine a school network -25 computers all identical, it'll be a right pain in the arse to install Vista on it 25 times and all the other settings, so yeh it'll be a case of staging an installation and running it from boot.

because it´s a absolutely critical feture for the average home user / gamer, who does re-install WinXP twice a month due to virus infection, accidential damage to the operating system directory, installing bad beta drivers....
Thank god, it was about time for this feature... *g*.

The average home user/gamer re-installs XP twice a month due to infection and "accidental damage"? Where did you get that data from? Please supply the link (URL). Thanks. Frank

I don't know about the "average" home user, but I have to reload Windows XP more often than I have sex (XP is VERY reliable!)

So, your sex life is little or nothing then Tom? :oP
